What can we do?

1) But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. 2) For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. 3) For when they say “peace and safety” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. 1Thessalonians 5

I don’t know about you, but this seems a whole lot like the situation we are in today. There are signs that we see that precede Christ’s return. and just like labor pains, they become more intense and closer together. The bible says that in the future, the ‘Signs of the Times’ will be like that prior to our Lord’s return. Earthquakes seem to be more frequent and more devastating. Storms are more intense and wildfires are out of control. Seeing the events in Israel unfold, line up perfectly with what we see happening. We are living in different times. The question in our minds is no longer ‘What in the world is going on’ but rather, ‘What can we do about it?’ I need to tell you, we can live with confidence in this chaotic world. We find that confidence all through the scripture.

Colossians 3:1 ‘If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.’

Psychologists tell us to look within. Opportunists tell us to look around. Optimists say to look ahead. Pessimists tell us to look out. But our God says… “Look up… for your redemption draws near” (Luke 21:28)
