In speaking to the ‘Woman at the well’ in Samaria, Jesus told her that in order to worship God, it had to be in ‘Spirit and in Truth‘. How do we do that?
First of all, we need to be regenerated – changed completely – by the Father. We cannot worship a God we don’t know, so we need to be sure we have been born into the Father’s family. When we are, we are ‘activated‘ by the Holy Spirit.
Secondly, we need to be regulated by His Word. True worship is linked to studying the Word of God, for we worship in ‘Spirit and in Truth‘. Worship is ‘ascribing worth to God‘, in other words, giving to God. Our study of His Word allows us to know Him in a closer, more intimate way. The more we know Him, the more we want to give Him.
Our study in Revelation last week took us through the first part of chapter 21, This week the curtain will continue to be pulled back to give us an even closer look into the place we call heaven. We look forward to being live at 7 PM on Wednesday.
On Sunday morning after 9 AM, we will once again be in Matthew chapter 5 and getting close to the end of our series in the Beatitudes. Join us as we look at verses 33 -37, in our ‘Manual For Christian Living‘.
Thank you for allowing us the privilege of praying for you and those you love. Please let us know if we can add to our prayer list.
