CITY BIBLE CHURCH @ home

Greetings all,

O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You;
My soul longs for You in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water.
Ps. 63:1

If you are anything like me, you look forward to meeting with the Lord first thing in the morning. That time of devotion to the One who holds our day in His hand, brings a peace beyond understanding.

A good deal of our focus over the past few months has been prayer. We not only talked about several aspects of prayer on Sunday morning, but we looked at ‘Learning To Listen’ to Him, on our Wednesday evening times together. Some years ago Krys and I read a book by a medical doctor on Psalm 23. The good doctor actually prescribed the well known Psalm for all manor of maladies relating to stress. He would ‘prescribe’ praying it three times a day, morning, noon and night. Lord willing, I hope to begin a series Sunday morning that I am calling ‘A Prescription For Joy.’

I hope you will join us at 7 PM for our ‘live’ study in the book of Nehemiah. If you are unable to be with us at the church, we look forward to being with you live (or at your convenience) on YouTube / City Bible Church SSM.

The second part of the ‘Principle of the Three Generations’ will be up on YouTube beginning at 9 AM Sunday morning for those who are unable to be with us in person.

Sunday @ City: A Prescription For Joy – ‘Worry’
The words of the 23rd Psalm are often the first scripture we learn as children, and the last we hear as we lay waiting to pass from the darkness of life into the daybreak of heaven. It’s words are like a sweet loving mother, who picks us up and holds us close in difficult times. There are some wonderful things to learn from this oft quoted treasure. Join us at the church building at 10:30 for a time of worship  around the Word of God.

Sunday @ 7: Jesus in the secular world…
We gather again at 7 PM for a study in presenting Christ to the secular world. Our time together has been so rewarding as Matt & Sandra lead this ‘inter-active’ study.  Plan to join us.

Knee Mail:
We are a praying church, who welcome the opportunity to bring you and those you love before the ‘Throne of Grace.’ Please let us know of anything we can be praying for you.
