Radical Repentance

“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:1,2

There’s been a lot of discussion lately about revival. Historically, revival is described as a movement of the Spirit of God, often times accompanied by people engaging in increased prayer, Scripture reading, repentance of sins and worship. Revival historically has resulted in people having a hunger for God as they experience His renewing presence. That hunger begins in a heart that is willing to repent, be filled and led by the Holy Spirit. Then our heart’s desire becomes fixed on the person and presence of the ‘God of all there is’.
