OPEN SUNDAY!

EXCITING NEWS!

City Bible is going to open our doors this Sunday, June 28 for those who wish to attend an in-person church service (our on-line service will also be available). The service will begin at 10:30 am.    Please come early to accommodate the seating process.

But before we do that, we need your help.   In accordance with government guidelines we will only be able to admit 30 people into the building, so we need you to preregister.

Steps:

  • have one member of your household reply to this email by Friday noon;

  • indicate the number of your household that would be attending.

  • confirm that you or any of your attending household:

    • have not been in contact with anyone infected with COVID-19 in the last 14 days

    • have not travelled from overseas in the last 14 days;

    • are not unwell or displaying symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) – fever, cough, difficulty breathing, sore throat or trouble swallowing, runny nose, loss of taste or smell, not feeling well, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea.

Things we are doing to ensure your safety:

  • cleaning the church thoroughly and all touch points sanitized;

  • opening the doors to limit the contact of common touchpoints and to have good airflow;

  • limiting the use of the restrooms to only one person at a time and disinfecting touch points after each use;

  • spacing the seating in the sanctuary according to the 2m distancing guidelines;

  • assigning seating in family groupings.

Entering and exiting the church:

Unfortunately due to social distancing constraints, we are unable to utilize the lift/elevator at this time.

  • We are requiring that masks be worn while in the church building.  If you do not have one, one will be provided for you. Hand sanitizer will also be provided before entering the building.

  • A greeter will be at the entry door to give instructions.  They will be recording the name of each person entering.  We will keep these records for 3 weeks.  In the event someone does become ill, we will be able to inform everyone so they can take the necessary steps to be safe.

  • If you have a jacket or coat, please take it with you to your seat.

  • At the sanctuary door a greeter will escort you to your assigned seat.   Please stay in your seat for the duration of the service.

  • Following the service, we will have those closest to the door leave first and file out row by row, similar to leaving a wedding or funeral.  For those who wish to visit, it is encouraged to do that outside the building while maintaining 2m social distancing.

Worship:

  • We will still be running an on-line service.   See citybible.ca for more details.

  • We will not be having any corporate singing.

  • The service will be shorter than normal, approximately 45 minutes.

Families with young children:

  • Please keep your children with you at all times.

  • There will be no Sunday School for the children, but the nursery will be open for diaper changing and nursing.  We ask that only one family use the nursery at a time.

Giving:

  • The offering plate will not be passed, but you may use the offering box located outside of the sanctuary or e-transfer.

Let’s make this the safest, God-honouring service yet!

In His grip,

Pastor Bill
