“Make me understand the way of Your precepts; so shall I meditate on your wonderful works.” Psalm 119: 27
I love the passage in Luke 24 about the ‘Road to Emmaus‘, where the Lord Jesus is walking with two disciples after His resurrection. The disciples were down in the dumps and dismayed. And in verse 45, the bible says, “And He opened the eyes of their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures.” There have been many times when I have asked the Lord for that… the man apart from the ‘Spirit of God‘ can not understand the bible. That’s why, when we come to the ‘Book of Books‘, we need to lay aside our intellectual pride and say, “Lord God, speak to me.“
Have you anything in your life we can come alongside you with, in prayer? Let us know how we can pray for you and those prayer burdens you have in your life.
Tonight at 7 PM we will be at the church as well as live on our YouTube channel, continuing in our study through Nehemiah. I look forward to our time together as we look at the first 8 verses of chapter 2.
We are looking forward to being with you on Sunday morning after 9 AM. For those who can’t be with us at our morning worship service, we offer the opportunity to gather around the Word of God online.
Sunday @ City: A Prescription For Joy: Busyness
“Life is so busy…” Can I get a witness??? So many people seem to be under so much stress, from so many different directions. Last week we looked at Worry, This Sunday morning we are looking at the next ‘stressor’, in our Prescription for Joy series. ‘Busyness’… It doesn’t matter what the symptom is, the solution can be found in the Word of God.
